Real Time Clock?

Does the Esquilo have a RTC in it?

Wanting to know if it can keep time accurately enough for a clock with alarms set at specific times?

Also if it can, how to put a battery on it to keep the time when the power goes out?

The ARM processor on Esquilo has an RTC and we installed a standard watch crystal for it so it should be pretty accurate. If you have access to the network, Esquilo will use SNTP to set the clock from our servers so you don't really need a battery to preserve time. We do have pads on the board to power the RTC from a battery but you would have to remove the resistor that connects the battery input to the 3.3V power supply in order to use it.

Thanks a lot Scott, With SNTP I could do without a battery like you said.
