OS X users can use screen(1)

rbg

Hint: Rather than download a new terminal emulator, users of OS X may use the screen program.
(assuming you have esh enabled on usb)

ie:
screen /dev/tty.usbmodem1411

Great hint! I'll add it to the Quick Start. Thanks.

Can you tell me how to enable "esh enabled on usb"?
How do you come up with the /dev/tty.usbmodem1411?

thank you.

patrick

@rkadrmas It is enabled by default. The setting is in the web IDE drop down menu (top right corner), item System, setting USB Console.

@rkadrmas Each usb device of that type is sequentially assigned a /dev/tty.usbmodem#### by OSx. You can "ls /dev/tty.usbmodem*" before plugging in and then again after plugging in the usb. The newly assigned #### is most likely your device (if you have more than one plugged in).
