Having trouble connecting to Esquilo via FTP

JefferyS

Trying to FTP into the Esquilo to download the library before I sync and backup my other files.

I kind of connect but maybe not using the correct user name and password which I'm not exactly sure what they are.

Thanks,

Jeffery

The default user is admin and the default password is esquilo.

Thanks Scott, that worked but having some other problems.

I'm using CuteFTP and When I double click on a folder it looks like it changed into that folder but the directory listing is the same. Also sometimes it is showing the file as GETONE~1.NUT or folder as HIGHTE~1.

It was showing the long name but may need to restart the Esquilo and or CuteFTP.

Any ideas? I've played with several settings to try and get it to work. Maybe I need to try a different program.

Thanks,

Jeffery

It could be some strangeness with the long filename processing between Esquilo and CuteFTP. I'll see if I can duplicate the problem with CuteFTP.

Just a bit more information. I tried another program (WinSCP) and it had the problem but my Directory Opus, awesome file manager by the way, won't show me anything. Don't know what that is all about but haven't used the FTP part before.

Also, I powered off and on the Esquilo and the names were long again so something got messed up which started the short name stuff. Being that two ftp programs showed the same short names I'm guessing that the Esquilo ftp server got confused or something.

Thanks for the additional info. I'm sure it's got to be something with the long filename handling on Esquilo. We fixed a number of long filename problems in the core RTOS code. I'll write it up and see if we can get a fix out.

Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott, had one more thing. I did get directory opus to work by making it send the list command.

But I had forgot that when I double clicked in any of the FTP programs it would just duplicate what you just clicked on.
Don't know if you've experienced this or if it has to do with the long name problem.

I click on folder Temp and it shows that I'm in the Temp folder but shows the same list of files and folders as the root. double click on Temp again and I'm /Temp/Temp with the root files and folders showing. Don't think I ever got to see the files inside another folder.

Thanks,

Jeffery
