Does Kroger Accept WIC Online

Kroger’s WIC program is currently only available in-store. You can use your WIC benefits at any Kroger store that participates in the program. To find a participating store near you, visit the Kroger website and use the store locator tool. Once you have found a participating store, you can shop for WIC-eligible items and present your WIC card at the checkout counter. The cashier will process your WIC benefits and deduct the cost of the WIC-eligible items from your total bill.

WIC Eligibility and Program Details

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a federally funded program that provides supplemental foods, nutrition education, and breastfeeding support to income-eligible pregnant women, new mothers, and children under the age of 5. WIC is available in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa.

To be eligible for WIC, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a pregnant woman, a new mother, or a child under the age of 5.
  • Have a household income at or below 185% of the federal poverty level.
  • Be a resident of the state in which you are applying for WIC.

Once you have been determined eligible for WIC, you will receive a WIC card that you can use to purchase WIC-approved foods at authorized grocery stores and farmers’ markets. WIC-approved foods include:

  • Milk
  • Cheese
  • Yogurt
  • Eggs
  • Cereal
  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Juice

You will also receive nutrition education and breastfeeding support from WIC staff. Nutrition education includes information on healthy eating for pregnant women, new mothers, and children. Breastfeeding support includes information on how to breastfeed, how to overcome common breastfeeding challenges, and where to find breastfeeding support in your community.

  • DeliveryNow: This service provides same-day delivery of groceries to customers’ homes or businesses.
  • Ship: This service allows customers to purchase non-perishable items online and have them shipped directly to their homes.

While Kroger offers these convenient online shopping options, it’s important to note that Kroger does not currently accept WIC benefits for online purchases. WIC benefits can only be used for in-store purchases at Kroger locations.

Unfortunately, Kroger does not currently accept WIC (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children) benefits online. WIC benefits are issued in the form of checks, vouchers, or electronic benefits transfer (EBT) cards that can only be used in authorized retail stores.
